According to officials at the Glema Center for the Arts, Dom Flemons is coming to Madisonville!
The Glema Center says “The American Songster” Flemons covers “over one hundred years” of American roots music, including country, folk, bluegrass, Americana and the blues. Dom Flemons is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, historian, actor, slam poet, record collector, podcaster and the creator, host and producer of the American Songster Radio Show. He is considered an expert player on a multitude of instruments including the banjo, guitar, harmonica and jug, and is the co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops.
The event organizers say Flemons is coming to the Glema Mahr Center on September 21 at 7 p.m. Onstage seating for this first installment of the season’s Coffeehouse Series is $25, and student admission is half price. Tickets are available now at the Glema Center office and online. People can get their tickets in person Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Glema Center Ticket Office or by phone at 270-821-2787.
