James Walter Ezell, 71, of Madisonville, KY passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, at his residence.
He was born February 25, 1954, in Puerto Rico to the late Otis Ezell and Chars Bass Ezell. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Ezell, and Carroll Dwayne Ezell.
James was a member of Manitou Baptist Church. He loved watching Kentucky Basketball, as well as spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darlene Yvonda Ezell of Madisonville; one daughter, Jamie (Timothy) Smith of Madisonville; two sons, Dwayne Allen Ezell and Joshua (Kaylee) James Ezell, both of Madisonville; three sisters, Nita (Bob) Holznecht, Kelly (Bud) Clayton, and Sharon (Curtis) Carter; two brothers, Charlie (Kay) Ezell, and Kevin (Gerri) Ezell; four grandchildren, Raven Sutton, Isaiah Smith, Evelynn Ezell, and Landon Warren; and two great grandchildren, Bodhi Moore and Rinoa Hopper.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday April 1, 2025, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathon Harralson and Joshua Ezell officiating.
Burial will follow at Grapevine cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chase Cover, Anthony Mullins, Timothy Massey, Justin Massey, Scott Ezell, and Patrick Rickard.
