Connie Clayton, 77, of Manitou, KY, passed away on April 14, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on March 6, 1948, in Providence, KY to the late James Travis and Helen Keeney Adams. Connie was a loving wife and mother. Connie retired from GE Aircraft Engines. She was also an active member of First Christian Church in Providence, KY. She enjoyed reading, volunteering at Common Garments in Nebo, and helping with the backpack program at Nebo Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald Clayton of Manitou; daughter Beverly Crowell and her husband James of Providence, KY; daughter Annette Parsons and her husband Robert of Hastings, MI; granddaughter Victoria Wheeler and her husband Ryan of Bloomington, IN; grandson Robert Parsons of Clarksville, MI; grandson Brandon Parsons and his wife Danielle of Vermontville, MI; granddaughter Makayla Parsons of Hastings, MI; nine great-grandchildren: Lily, Mary, Khloe, Ryder, Ayden, Sawyer, Mia, Charlie, and Clayton; and her sister in law, Doris Creasey of Providence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Providence Chapel with Pastor Kim Hudson and Pastor Howard Crowe officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Crittenden County, KY. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 202,5, and from 9:00 A.M. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Common Garments in Nebo, KY, or to the Backpack Program at Nebo Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
