If you did not receive a message, please visit the Red Cross website. You also need to know that there are persons claiming to be Red Cross personnel. To verify their identity, please phone the Red Cross. The number is 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Webster County Emergency Management says clean up supplies are being made available to those with flood damage. The supplies are available at these 5 locations: Onton United Methodist Church, the City of Sebree City Building, St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul, and the United Way by dialing 2-1-1. Debris pickup will begin when ALL areas are ready for pickup.
The Madisonville Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation is hoping for a good turnout tomorrow morning (Friday the 25th). They will stage a Small Business Roundtable at 9. It will include details about 401-K options for businesses and information about Deaconess at Work.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has another Academy of Police Supervision graduate. Sargeant Joe Stratton completed the program at Eastern Kentucky University. The agency is the first in the nation to be accredited under the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies’ public safety training program designation.
A portion of a state highway in Hopkins County is closed due to a sink hole. KY-2320, also known as Happy Lane, is closed from the zero to one-mile points. The state is evaluating the problem.
The Green River Area Development District is producing a roadway Safety Action Plan for Webster, McLean, and four other counties, including the city of Henderson. Officials want to know about the safety issues. A survey will be distributed to get the needed information.
Several counties will receive help from FEMA in regards to the recent week of heavy rain. Dawson Springs Mayor Jenny Sewell is hoping assistance will be there for her town. (Clip in audio below)
The city of Madisonville and the Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation say the new natural gas facility will position the city as a key player in Kentucky’s industrial growth and economic development landscape. They say it will support projects that bring new opportunities to our region.
Here’s an achievement you need to know about. The Madisonville Electric Department has been honored with the Diamond Safety Award by the American Public Power Association for their safety practices. This award recognizes utilities across the country for maintaining incident-free and safety-focused operations.
Owensboro Health has a new Vice President of Human Resource Development. Teresa Rascoe has more than 30 years of experience in the H-R department. Her superiors say Rascoe has made an impact at Owensboro Health.
