It could be called an unusual arrest by the Madisonville police. The police report states that two persons were arguing and were unaware that their phone had dialed 9-1-1 and that the police heard the call. The police heard them say that they needed to leave the area because they believed the police were looking for them. After pinging the phone, the police located the car but the female was gone. William Hamilton exhibited the signs of intoxication. He agreed to allow the officers to let the drug dog sniff the Chevy Tahoe. Arkham located some baggies with incriminating evidence. Hamilton was then transported to jail.

A new rule will affect when the drivers of cars with specialty plates pay their taxes and renewal fees. County clerks say the time to renew is switching from December to the driver’s birth month. December is usually the time when everyone pays their taxes and registration fees on their cars and trucks with specialty license plates. The state says this has led to confusion in some cases. If someone renews in December, and wants to change to their birth month, and their birth month is January, they will have to pay back-to-back ad valorem taxes.
